FAQ

Questions worth asking.

The ones we hear most, answered without the hedging. If yours is not here, call and ask it directly.

The process

What does it cost to apply?

Nothing, ever. There is no cost to submit an inquiry, no application fee, and no obligation to accept anything you are offered. We are paid a commission by the funding provider when a business we referred is funded — so our fee comes out of their side, not yours.

Are you a lender?

No. LoansOrigination.com is not a lender, bank or credit union. We are a referral service that introduces business owners to third-party funding providers. We do not make credit decisions and we do not set rates or terms — the funding provider does, based on their own underwriting.

How long does it take?

It depends on the product and on how quickly you can produce basic documentation such as bank statements. Working capital and factoring generally move fastest; term loans and equipment finance take longer. We will tell you what to expect once we know which lenders are in play.

What do you need from me?

To start, only what is on the inquiry form — roughly three minutes of information about the business and how to reach you. If a lender wants to proceed, they will typically ask for recent business bank statements and basic company details.

I have been declined before. Is it worth trying again?

Usually, yes. A decline is a decision by one lender against one set of criteria, and criteria vary enormously. Being turned down by a bank says very little about whether an alternative funder will take the same view.

What happens to my information?

We use it to identify funding providers likely to be a fit and to contact you about your inquiry. We share it with those providers so they can evaluate your business. We do not sell it to unrelated third parties. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.

Lending programs

Working Capital

Short-term funding for payroll, inventory, rent or a gap between receivables. The most common starting point when cash is tight but the business is healthy.

Invoice Factoring

If you issue invoices on net terms, factoring advances against them so you are not financing your customers for 30 to 90 days. Typical net term limits run between 30 and 90 days.

Term Business Loan

A business term loan is a lump sum borrowed from a lender and paid back over time with interest. Repayment schedules can be short or long term depending on your needs and qualifications.

Equipment Finance

Funding secured by the equipment itself, which often means easier qualification than an unsecured loan. Covers vehicles, machinery, kitchen build-outs and technology.

Line of Credit

A revolving facility you can draw against repeatedly. Useful when the need is recurring or unpredictable rather than a single lump sum.

Support services

Advertising

A marketing message and advertising campaign that produces real revenue, not the metric of the month. Key performance indicators are worthless unless they generate revenue for your business.

Backend Specialists

A backend audit that surfaces wasteful processes, unnecessary expenses and out-of-date systems. Businesses that have been running for years accumulate all three without noticing.

Strategic Partnerships

A third party studying your problem areas will see what you cannot from the inside. Owners often have 99% of the business figured out, and the remaining 1% is the difference between a soft year and steady growth.

One form, about three minutes. We come back with what you actually qualify for. There is no cost to apply.
